Champ the Lake Monster

from $75.00

In the 1700’s, the Abenaki and Iroquois warned European settlers about a large, serpent-like creature inhabiting Lake Champlain, who they called Gitaskog. The monster has since been dubbed “America’s Loch Ness Monster,” and locally as “Champ.” This year, we are excited to offer our Glass Champs in Seaweed Green, Lake Blue, Sunset Rose, and Peaceful Purple. AO Glass has created Champs since 2007 and we know where some of them are; one made it to Washington D.C. at one of our Senator’s offices, and another is buried in the time capsule above the Echo Center for Burlington’s 400th anniversary celebration. Where will you take your Champ?

Each Champ is hand-sculpted, offering their own unique personality and shape.

Our glassware is crafted in small batches, so orders may take up to 7 days to ship. Please contact us with any questions.
