These little Champ ornaments have a big role in Vermont, and in the entire Lake Champlain region. People around here have talked about Champ the Lake Monster for hundreds of years. In the 1700’s the Abenaki and Iroquois warned European settlers about the large serpent-like creature inhabiting Lake Champlain, who they called Gitaskog. The monster has since been dubbed “America’s Loch Ness Monster,” and locally as “Champ.”

This year we are excited to have Seaweed Green, Lake Blue, Sunset Rose, and Peaceful Purple available for you. AO Glass has created Champs since 2007 and this little hanging version was quick to follow our classic standing Champ as a best seller.

No matter which color you choose, each Champ is hand-sculpted, about 2.5” long, and has unique personality and shape.
